Joe Rogan reportedly accepts $100,000 BTC payment

American podcast host Joe Rogan has agreed to be paid $100,000 in Bitcoin.

Rogan has already signed a $100 million deal with Spotify for exclusive rights to his podcast, but has now negotiated to be part-paid in crypto as well.

Rogan has been known as a crypto advocate since he urged his audience of 200 million to buy Bitcoin and โ€˜start stacking Satsโ€™.

On his podcast โ€“ the Joe Rogan Experience โ€“ Rogan, also a good friend of Twitterโ€™s CEO Jack Dorsey, promoted Bitcoin as part of an app advertisement and praised its ability to let users automatically purchase Bitcoin at different intervals based on their preferences.

โ€œWith the Cash App, you can automatically purchase Bitcoin, daily, weekly, or even bi-weekly, known in the industry as stacking sats,โ€ he said.

โ€œBitcoin, what it is for sure, is a transformational digital currency that acts as a decentralized peer-to peer-payment network powered by its users with no central authority.

โ€œI love it. I wish it was the way we exchanged currency and maybe it will be in the future. Get on board.โ€

NFTs are crypto hustle

However, even though he likes crypto, he seems perplexed when it comes to non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Recently, Rogan called NFTs a โ€œcryptocurrency hustleโ€ and added he was not interested in NFTs.

โ€œNFTs are weird hustle, I think itโ€™s like a cryptocurrency hustle. It doesnโ€™t make any sense to me,โ€ he commented.
